C-USA unveils 2023-24 men's basketball schedules

Conference USA has unveiled the men's basketball league schedules on Monday, including Western Kentucky's upcoming slate of competitive matchups.

This upcoming winter, there will be nine teams in the conference playing home and away games. The schedule consists of 16 total contests.

The Hilltoppers will kick off league play with matchups against the four newest members of the conference.

Western Kentucky will be hosting Liberty at E.A. Diddle Arena on Jan. 6 as the two will face off for the first time ever on the court.

The Hilltoppers will follow up their opener with a matchup against Sam Houston State for the first time ever on Wednesday, Jan. 10.

WKU will return home for a matchup against Jacksonville State on the following Saturday. The Jan. 13 matchup will mark the first meeting between the Hilltoppers and the Gamecocks since 2016.

Afterwards, the Hilltoppers will prepare to take on New Mexico State on Jan. 18 before battling UTEP on Jan. 20.

Starting Thursday, Jan. 25, Western Kentucky will tipoff a three-game homestand, beginning with FIU. Heading into February, the Hilltoppers will take on Sam Houston again on the 1st and rival MTSU on the 3rd.

After concluding the homestand, WKU will hit the road to take on Louisiana Tech on Wednesday, Feb. 7 before visiting Jacksonville State on Feb. 10. The matchup will mark the first meeting between the two in Jacksonville, AL.

The Hilltoppers will be hosting UTEP at Diddle Arena on Feb. 15 and will remain at home to face off against New Mexico State on Feb. 17.

After a week break, Western Kentucky will pick up where they left off with games against MTSU and Louisiana Tech. The Hilltoppers will close out the regular season with matchups against FIU on Mar. 2 and Liberty on Mar. 9.

The C-USA men's basketball championships will be held in Huntsville, AL. on Mar. 12-16 at Propst Arena, marking the ninth location to host the event.
