Western Kentucky added another big playmaker to their 2017 class on Thursday afternoon when Houston County (Ga.) wide receiver Amari Colbert announced his commitment via Twitter.

The 6-foot-3, 197-pound prospect has been a longtime target of the Hilltoppers staff since the spring and with his frame, athleticism, and consistent production at the high school level appears to be a perfect fit in WKU's high-powered offensive attack.

So far during his senior season, Colbert has amassed 863 yards on 49 receptions with 16 touchdowns and has become a favorite target of current Georgia quarterback commit Jack Fromm.

Colbert chose the Hilltoppers over the likes of Old Dominion, Ohio, Charleston Southern, and others. He was also receiving some interest from power five programs as well.

The two-star prospect becomes the 19th commitment for the Hilltoppers' 2017 class and is the fourth wide receiver pledge, joining Keyron Catlett, Alex Marshall, and Khalil Newton.
