There was plenty of buildup for WKU tonight. There was Hilltopper Hysteria, the official kickoff to the basketball season, then there was the announcement of one of the nation's top recruits.

In what he billed as the "exciting Mexican version of Lebron James' decision but shorter" through a text message last night, St. John's Bosco (Calif.) four-star point guard Cezar Guerrero made his announcement tonight.
After narrowing his list down to WKU, UNLV and Oklahoma, Guerrero announced his intentions live on his Ustream page.
"I'm taking my talents to Western Kentucky," Guerrero announced.
Guerrero, No. 61 in the Rivals150 becomes the highest rated recruit to ever commit to WKU since Rivals.com's inception in 2001. In 2009, Terrence Boyd finished ranked No. 64 in the country, before leaving the Toppers before the following season even began.
Guerreo becomes the fourth commit for WKU in the class of 2011, joining St. Patrick (NJ) guard Derrick Gordon, No. 135 in the Rivals150, Warren Central (Ky.) three-star forward George Fant and Veritas Sports Academy (NC) three-star center Deng Leek.
