Irby commits to WKU

The Hilltoppers picked up a big commitment this morning from Franklin Road Academy (Tn) offensive lineman Joe Irby, per his high school coach Kevin Smith.

Irby received a scholarship offer from Western Kentucky during a visit back in the spring. The 6-foot-4, 315-pound prospect chose the Hilltoppers over offers from Memphis, UAB, Middle Tennessee, and others.
He becomes the Hilltoppers' 14th verbal commitment for the 2014 class and the second offensive lineman to join the class.
