Since he was announced as WKU's head football coach Nov. 23, Willie Taggart has been busy to say the least.

Later that day, he flew back out to Stanford, to prepare for Notre Dame. The Cardinal prevailed that weekend 45-38, capping a big regular season at 8-4.
But the Monday morning following that game, Taggart set to work as the head Topper, recruiting. Since then, he's been in full WKU mode.
He's also still received good news from his time at Stanford. Running back Toby Gerhart, whom Taggart coached as running backs coach, was the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy.
Things are still getting settled. As was first reported by the College Heights Herald, Taggart has been proposed by athletics director Wood Selig to the university's board of regents to receive a base salary of $225,000, with the incentives still to be worked out.
There's a lot of work to do to get the Toppers turned around and Taggart knows it won't be easy. But what all has he done since he was named head coach? What advice has he sought? What are his plans in building the program back up? What is he looking for in recruiting?
This week, Taggart gave InsideHilltopperSports.com, in conjunction with PaydirtSports.com, his first extensive, exclusive interview as head coach of his alma mater. He answers all our questions in this three-part video interview, exclusively found here on InsideHilltopperSports.com.
