Just days after extending an offer to Ramsay (Ala.) forward KeShawn Murphy, the Hilltoppers received a verbal commitment from the 2021 prospect on Friday afternoon.

The 6-foot-8, 200-pound talent chose Western Kentucky over the likes of Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Alabama, Auburn, UAB, and Troy.

The three-star prospect was named Class 5A first-team, all-state this past season after leading his team to a 25-9 record and an appearance in the state semi-finals.

Murphy becomes the second verbal commitment in the 2021 recruiting class for the Hilltoppers, joining Marshall County (Ky.) four-star guard Zion Harmon.
