Western Kentucky picked up two more in-state commitments on Wednesday evening in Glasgow (Ky) running back Marquez Trigg and DeSales (Ky) defensive end Bryant Pirtle.
Marquez Trigg
Trigg has been on the Hilltoppers' radar since last season, he's made multiple visits to campus and has become very comfortable with the coaching staff.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back rushed for 1,668 yards and 26 touchdowns during an outstanding junior season. He was also a standout performer at Western Kentucky's Prospect Camp back on June 7th.
Trigg brings a nice blend of size, power, and speed to the 2015 recruiting class. He has great awareness out of the backfield and a good burst once he sees an open running lane. The rising senior is also not afraid to lower his shoulders and knock pads with defenders in order to pick up the tough extra yards.

Bryant Pirtle
Pirtle is an intriguing prospect from the Louisville that has flown under-the-radar during his recruiting process. The Hilltoppers have been interested in the DeSales star since early spring.
Pirtle recorded 66 tackles and a state best 22.5 sacks in leading his team to a 2A state championship during his junior season. At 6-foot-1, 205-pounds, Pirtle showed off his talents and earned an offer from the Hilltoppers at their Collins (Ky) High School Satellite Camp on June 12th.
While listed as a defensive end, Pirtle projects as an outside linebacker at the college level with his combination of agility, athleticism, and speed. His quick reaction off the snap and aggressiveness made him virtually unstoppable as a disruptor along the defensive edge.
