All eyes were on Western Kentucky's freshman phenom Charles Bassey on Wednesday with the midnight deadline looming to either declare for the NBA Draft or return to the Hilltoppers.

Bassey waited until the final minute, but made it official, he is returning to Western Kentucky for his sophomore season.

Earlier on Wednesday, Bassey took part in the Gary Durant Sports Managament pre-draft workouts in Los Angeles.

The C-USA freshman and defensive player of the year averaged 14.6 points, 10 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game for the Hilltoppers this past season.

Bassey was projected as a second-round pick in most mock drafts.
