David Ndukwe on WKU "it felt like home"

What might seem like a while ago, really wasn't far at all. Back on July 30th, Arabia Mountain (Ga.) defensive tackle David Ndukwe took a visit on The Hill for an unofficial visit.

On August 17th, Ndukwe went to social media to let the world know about his commitment to Western Kentucky.

"It felt like home," Ndukwe said of his decision to become a Hilltopper.

Ndukwe had a variety of offers from the likes of FIU, Akron, and Eastern Kentucky University. With all the schools trying their best to land the defensive phenomenon, WKU had Ndukwe's best interest.

For most athletes, being able to call a place home means a lot of things on the visit must of went right.

"From the atmosphere, to the facilities, to the coaches it was something like no other" Ndukwe said of WKU.

Ndukwe also shares that he has built an on going relationship with defensive tackles coach Kenny Martin.

A kid with Ndukwe's size and athleticism is hard to come by.

This past summer, the 6-foot-6, 242-pound prospect looked to take his game to the next level - from working on his explosion off the ball, breaking double teams, and even getting his speed up.

Many debates circular around all college football on what state produces the best football athletes, the Decatur (Ga.) product had a simple answer for that.

"Georgia produces the best ballers," Ndukwe said.

Ndukwe has not yet set a date for his official visit to Western Kentucky. He plans to be an early enrollee and hopes to return to WKU for a game sometime this fall.
