Just committed to western Kentucky🏀🏀 today so I need to have some fun today- MR.EDMOND (@eqbooman_) April 19, 2013
With that tweet, Kingdom Prep Academy guard Fredrick Edmond made things official.
He is a Hilltopper.
Edmond led the state of Michigan in scoring during his senior season at Eastern (East Lansing, Mich.) high school, averaging 28 points and 14 rebounds per game.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound shooting guard spent last season giving the nylons a cardiovascular workout at Kingdom Prep Academy (Ia.) averaging 34 points per game.
Along with Western Kentucky, Edmond was also being pursued by Kansas State, Oregon State, and Auburn.
This is a significant commit for the Hilltoppers, who were in the market for Dominique Hawkins and Brandon Goodwin, but they ultimately committed to Kentucky and UCF.
The issue with "Boo Man" is whether he will be cleared academically and allowed to play right away or be forced to set out a year and get his grades in order.
Hilltopper fans will be anxiously awaiting that decision.
