Western Kentucky's two previously scheduled matchups (Nov. 28th and Dec. 1st) with Charlotte were canceled due to continued COVID issues with the 49ers.
Now, FIU has their own COVID concerns, forcing them to cancel Saturday's game at Charlotte.
That result has prompted a third opportunity for the Hilltoppers and 49ers to meet on the gridiron, now scheduled for Sunday, December 6th with an 11 a.m. kickoff.
Western Kentucky is 4-6 overall on the season and 3-3 in C-USA play. Charlotte is 2-3 overall, 2-1 in conference.
The 49ers haven't played a game since October 31st, a 53-19 loss to Duke.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
