Hilltoppers in top group for a handful of talented targets

Western Kentucky has accumulated six commitments so far in the 2018 recruiting class, including four in the last three weeks highlighted by two 3-star prospects in American Heritage (Fla.) offensive tackle Troy Ingle and Alpharetta (Ga.) wide receiver Spencer Gaddis.

The calendar has now turned over to the month of July and the Hilltoppers find themselves in the top group for a handful of key targets as they continue to fill pieces to their recruiting puzzle.

The 3-star prospect has announced a Top 6 that includes Western Kentucky, Tulane, East Carolina, Charlotte, Iowa State, and Mississippi State.

Another Callaway (Ga.) 3-star rated prospect also has a Top 6 that includes the Hilltoppers, Marshall, Mississippi State, Cincinnati, Georgia Southern, and Troy.

Williams recently visited Bowling Green on June 23rd.

The 3-star running back has plans to announce a Top 8 on July 16th. Along with the Hilltoppers, Banks other notable offers include Utah, Temple, UCF, Southern Miss, Memphis, Virginia Tech, Old Dominion, and others.

Another Peach State target recently put Western Kentucky in his Top 6 along with the likes of Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Appalachian State, Louisville, and Arkansas State.

The defensive line target recently named a Top 6 that consists of the Hilltoppers, Pitt, Iowa State, Purdue, South Florida, and Ball State.
