Lutz adds JUCO transfer BJ Marable to 2023-24 roster

WKU head coach Steve Lutz and company announced the newest addition to the Hilltoppers' roster this week, welcoming JUCO transfer forward BJ Marable from Triton College (Ill.) to Western Kentucky for the 2023-24 season.

The 6-foot-9 forward out of River Grove, IL. will be joining the Hilltoppers after playing a crucial role in leading the Trojans to a 22-7 record and N4C conference title in the 2022-23 campaign.

Triton College additionally finished as a runner-up in Region 4 and earned the #14 spot in the final NJCAA rankings.

Marable made his presence known for the Trojans in 28 contests, averaging 21.6 minutes, 8.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. Marable additionally shot 52.9% from the floor.

One of Marable's best performances last season was against Richard J. Daley College on Feb. 7th, sinking 10-of-11 as well as eight assists in 27 minutes on the court.

Before joining the Trojans, Marable play for UNC Asheville for two seasons. Marable was one of the top prospects in the state of Tennessee coming out of high school. During his sophomore stint, he led Grace Christian Academy to a state championship.
