Western Kentucky landed it's eighth commitment in the 2018 class on Friday evening when Miami Central (Fla.) defensive back Arthur Brathwaite announced his decision.
The 6-foot, 190-pound prospect chose the Hilltoppers over the likes of Colorado State, Georgia State, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, and East Carolina.
When asked why he chose Western Kentucky, Braithwaite replied:
"One of the biggest reasons was the coaches communication. Basically the whole coaching staff talks to me everyday and the defensive scheme is a great fit. I can't wait to get up there for a visit."
While listed as a safety, the Hilltoppers' coaching staff sees the talented Sunshine State product as versatile defender.
"They love the way I fly around and make plays. They're basically saying I can play anywhere in the secondary."
