Two-star, two-star O'Fallon (IL) quarterback Todd Porter has committed to Western Kentucky effective today.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder threw for over 3,000 yards and 22 touchdowns and rushed for 10 touchdowns. Those impressive numbers earned him all-state honors.
While, Porter possesses the wheels and speed to get him out of trouble in the pocket, he also has a live arm and can make all the vertical down-field throws.
He just recently made an official visit to Florida Atlantic on January 11th. He also has offers from Murray State and has drawn interest from Northern Illinois.
Porter recently received an in-home visit from head coach Bobby Petrino. It appears the allure of playing in such a dynamic offense is a major selling point for the Hilltoppers.
His official visit to WKU is scheduled for January 25th, but with his recent verbal, that date could very well change.
Porter becomes Western Kentucky's first quarterback commitment for the 2013 recruiting class.
