A visit to Western Kentucky on June 14th helped seal the deal with Heritage School (Ga.) offensive lineman Wyatt Anderson.

He called the coaching staff on Tuesday and committed to the Hilltoppers and announced his decision publicly on Sunday.

"Excited to be a Hilltopper," Anderson said of his commitment. "I called (offensive graduate assistant) Lou Bunning and Coach (Stephen) Hamby and Coach (Zach) Kittley were both there and they were all super excited and happy for me. I was very happy. Coach Hamby said be ready it’s time to go to work."

The 6-foot-3, 290-pound prospect chose Western Kentucky over the likes of Arkansas State, Army, Navy, Florida International, and others.

Anderson detailed what stood out during his time on WKU's campus.

"I loved the campus, the stadium and the coaching staff. I also really enjoyed Bowling Green, its a beautiful city."

Throughout his recruiting process, the Newnan, Georgia native has developed a close relationship with offensive line coach Stephen Hamby and graduate assistant Lou Bunning.

"I really love how Coach Hamby is strong in faith. He goes to church a lot and that says a lot about the man. That’s a man that I would want to be coached by."

Anderson caught the eye of Hamby and the WKU coaching staff during various mega camps earlier this month and he'll help fill a significant role along the offensive line.

"I am a true center and he really noticed me at the three mega camps they were at. That is what he liked my competitiveness."

Anderson becomes the sixth overall commitment for the Hilltoppers in the 2022 class. He is the third offensive lineman to commit to WKU within in the last week, joining Luke Slusher of Beechwood (Ky.) and Evan Webberley of Dixie Heights (Ky.).
