Has your size changed at all?
Last time I weighed, I was like 185, but now I'm like 202. I'm still 6-foot-3.
What does your workout routine entail?
It depends on the day. Tuesdays and Thursdays, knowing that we're gonna be in the spring, me and my dad get up at the butt crack of dawn, like 6 AM and we'll run for the running portion of the workout plan they gave us. During the week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, I'll lift after school. Then, my brother has football practice at night and I'll run more with my family. They do like long-distance, endurance stuff.
When do you plan on reporting to WKU?
It was a tough process. My mom actually had a little trouble with it, but she has me booked on a one-way flight for June 4.
What do you plan on working or improving on through this summer?
Probably knowing the playbook is number one. I've been dipping into it for so long, I feel like I'm building the pieces together and putting the puzzle together. I wanna throw a little bit more. I've been throwing a good 20 balls every day, but I kinda wanna get my arm in tip-top shape and ready to go when we start this summer.
How would you describe your playing style?
I'm real competitive with everything we do. This weekend, we were playing darts and this kid was like, 'Yo Brandon I can beat you and I'll put anything on it.' I was like, 'No, I'll just beat you right now. I guess I just bring it out on the field, that competitive drive and I like to bring it out on my teammates too. I think it's something that naturally happens when I'm on the field. They all say, 'He's competitive and we've gotta be competitive around this guy.'
What are some of your goals for your first season as a Topper?
As a freshman, I wanna go in there and compete. Everybody talks about competing, but I truly wanna come in there and compete, give it my best shot and put it in God's hands.
What's your favorite food?
Oh geez, chicken parmesan.
What is your favorite movie?
People don't like watching this movie with me, but Remember The Titans. I know very single word to Remember The Titans. I can recite the whole entire game. People doubt it, but you don't wanna watch the movie with me because I'll recite the whole movie.
Who is your favorite musician?
Probably my favorite musician, I like a little bit of everything, but my favorite band and musical artist is probably Jimmy Buffet. Down here, he's kind of a local guy and I see him at all the sporting events like Heat games and Dolphins games. He's always there and he's a cool guy. I've met him a couple of times.
What would be three words to describe you?
Confident, goofball and fun.
If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?
Taylor Swift. I'm gonna let you in on my idea. You'll be the first to know my idea. She lives in Nashville, 45 minutes away. When we go on the field and play Nebraska that first game, I'm gonna be on ESPN, I'll throw like three touchdowns and I'm gonna say, 'Taylor, the first two are for you, so if you wanna holla, I live in Bowling Green so I'm 45 minutes away whenever you wanna come over.' I'm legit gonna do that.
If you could pick a fight with any celebrity, who would it be?
I hate to say it, because I know his nephew, but Chad Ocho Cinco, just cuz he runs his mouth so much. It's just like, I like him, but I know Ivan McCartney, that's his cousin. If you actually look at those two, they look just alike.
What's been your most memorable experience playing football?
Signing that dotted line. I'll never forget that, signing my letter of intent. My whole family was there, all dressed in red and it was just a good experience. My mom and dad were crying in the front seat. That's my first step in the process and I just felt good. I just had a good feeling when I went to WKU and I signed that dotted line and I just had something weird telling me it was the right spot.
