Tops fall to No. 15 West Virginia in Crossover Classic final

The Hilltoppers saw a 48-38 lead with 15:40 remaining in second-half lead disappear to the West Virginia Mountaineers in the finals of the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic on Friday afternoon and eventually suffered a 70-64 loss to the No. 15 team in the country.

West Virginia's Derek Culver scored 15 points in the win and was named tournament MVP.

For Western Kentucky, they were led by Charles Bassey who tallied 15 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks in just 18 minutes of play.

Tavieon Hollingsworth chipped in with 13 points.

Carson Williams and Josh Anderson scored 10 points apiece.

Western Kentucky drops to 2-1 on the season and will play at Louisville on Tuesday, December 1st at 5 p.m.
