With the signings of Kylen Milton and Kevin Osawe on Friday, Western Kentucky has now inked all of their verbal commitments in the 2020 recruiting class.
Both join Collins (Ky.) guard Dayvion McKnight, who signed with the Hilltoppers back in December.
We take a closer look at Milton and Osawe below:
- A native of Conway, Arkansas and was serving a post-graduate year at Core4 Academy in Chamblee, Georgia.
- Averaged 23 points per game this past season while shooting 54% from the field and 75% from the free-throw line.
- Averaged 13 points, six rebounds and two steals per game as a senior in 2018-19 at Conway (Ark.).
- Class 7A All-Conference selection and an All-State Tournament team pick during his time at Conway. He was also a dual-sport athlete competing in football.
STANSBURY SAID:
“We’re pleased to have Kylen join our program. He brings a lot of talent to our team, and he’s a young kid with a lot of upside. On top of that, he comes from a very high-character family.”
- Was named a NJCAA Division I Third-Team All-American this year following his sophomore season.
- Averaged 17.2 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists as Vincennes compiled a 28-5 record, a No. 9 final national ranking and a No. 10 overall seed in the NJCAA National Tournament that was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Made 66 3-pointers in 2019-20, while ranking sixth nationally in defensive rebounds and 25th in total rebounds.
- As a freshman, he averaged 11.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists on the Vincennes squad that won the NJCAA national championship with a 34-2 record.
- Shot 39.7 percent from 3-point range for the season and was named MVP of the National Tournament, including 22 points and 10 rebounds in the championship game.
- Osawe is rated the No. 10 overall junior-college prospect in the nation by JUCORecruiting.com.
- Prior to Vincennes, was a standout prep player at Central Technical School in Canada.
