Western Kentucky continues to add talent in the offseason via the transfer portal. On Sunday, the Hilltoppers picked up a commitment from Division II linebacker Devon Lynch out of Shepherd University in West Virginia.

Lynch said the Hilltoppers have been involved in his recruitment for the last two weeks. He revealed that what led to his commitment was how he was treated like a top priority by WKU assistant coach and inside linebackers coach Travis Cunningham.

"My commitment was due to the effort getting me there and Coach Cunningham making me a top priority coming into this university. They filled a void that he believed I am capable of filling."

Lynch told InsideHilltopperSports.com that he's coming off a visit to Western Kentucky this past weekend, adding that he loved the stadium, facilities, campus and the quality of the equipment.

I just came back this weekend and my visit started Friday. The stadium and facilities were outstanding from the D2 level. You can see the level of equipment and money used to allow us athletes the right resources to gain an edge."
