HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- Senior forward Steffphon Pettigrew scored 26 points and Sergio Kerusch had 25 points to lead Western Kentucky past Louisiana-Lafayette 81-76 Sunday night in the Sun Belt Conference tournament quarterfinals.

Juan Patillo had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Hilltoppers (16-15), who reached the conference tournament semifinals for the seventh straight season.
Pettigrew was 12 for 18 from the field and Kerusch went 10 for 16 as Western Kentucky shot 50.9 percent. The Hilltoppers used a 12-0 run to take a 66-55 lead with 5:44 remaining, then held on in the final minute at the foul line.
Josh Brown had 19 points and 14 rebounds for Louisiana-Lafayette (14-15). La'Ryan Gary scored 17, Travis Bureau had 16 points and Randell Daigle added 12 points for the Ragin' Cajuns (14-15), who were the regular-season co-champions of the Sun Belt West Division.
