The Hilltoppers' offense did a majority of their damage by way of the air to the tune of 506 passing yards in a 45-14 disposing of the Charlotte 49ers on Saturday evening.

Quarterback Mike White looked like his vintage 2016 version, throwing for 398 yards and five touchdowns on 33-47 passing.

Fifteen different receivers caught passes for the Hilltoppers led by redshirt senior Kylen Towner, who hauled in six passes for 111 yards, including a 59-yard touchdown reception - the first of his career.

Redshirt sophomore tight end Deon Yelder, freshman wide receiver Jaquez Sloan, and redshirt junior tight end Mik'Quane Deane also notched their first career touchdown receptions on the day.

The Hilltoppers totaled 627 yards of total offense and were led in rushing by Quinton Baker, who had 74 yards on 14 carries.

Defensively, WKU held Charlotte to 309 total yards and were led by Ta'Corian Darden with seven tackles and Juwan Gardner, who recorded an interception.

With the win, Western Kentucky is now 4-2 on the season, 1-1 in C-USA play, and have now won three games in a row.

The Hilltoppers return to action on Friday when they travel to Old Dominion.
