Louisville (Ky.) Ballard athlete Josh Minkins took a junior day visit to Western Kentucky back in February. Earlier this week, the Hilltoppers extended an offer to the rising 2020 prospect.

"It means a lot," Minkins said "I enjoyed my time down there and really felt the love from the staff when I was down there."

Throughout his recruiting process, Minkins has been communicating with wide receivers coach Chris Chestnut and offensive coordinator Bryan Ellis.

The Louisville product is listed as an athlete, but the Hilltoppers see him as a dynamic weapon at wide receiver.

"They like my hands, ability to move at my height and they are big on the deep ball, so they think I have the ability to fit that system."

There are a handful of other schools that are showing a lot of interest in the three-star prospect.

"Wake Forest, Bowling Green, Miami (Oh.), Toledo, Western Michigan, and Rutgers," Minkins noted.

As for what's next on his visit schedule.

"None at the moment, waiting until track season end but by summer I will know."

Marshall, Old Dominion, Kent State, and Central Michigan are other notable offers for Minkins.
