Western Kentucky Hilltopper Football has revealed the broadcast plans and kickoff times for 11 of their 12 contests on the 2023 schedule.
With a move towards several mid-week games in the month of October, the Hilltoppers will kickoff three games on ESPNU and will play in five additional contests on ESPN platforms, including a week two matchup against Houston Christian on ESPN+
Western Kentucky is also scheduled to play Ohio State for a non-conference game. This matchup will be televised on Fox while the Hilltoppers' home opener against South Florida and matchup against Middle Tennessee will be televised on the CBS Sports Network. The kickoff time and broadcast information for WKU's matchup against Troy will be announced at a later time.
The Hilltoppers open up their season in the comfort of Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium, welcoming South Florida to Bowling Green on Saturday, Sept. 2. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m. CT on CBSSN.
The next week, Western Kentucky will be host Houston Christian for the team's second-consecutive home game for Parent & Family Weekend. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
The Hilltoppers hit the road in week three to faceoff against Ohio State in Columbus. The Hilltoppers open up competition with the Big Ten foe at 3 p.m. CT on Fox.
Following a week four matchup against Troy, the Hilltoppers will return to Houchens-Smith Stadium to open up Conference USA play against 100 Miles of Hate rival Middle Tennessee. The opening kick is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT on CBSSN.
In October, Western Kentucky is scheduled to take on three opponents in mid-week matchups, first facing off against Louisiana Tech in Ruston, LA. on Thursday, Oct. 5. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT after the Hilltoppers take a bye week.
The Hilltoppers will then hit the road to take on new C-USA member Jacksonville State on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. CT. Western Kentucky will close out the mid-week schedule with a contest against against Liberty on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m. CT.
All of the Hilltoppers' matchups in November will appear on various ESPN channels as kickoff times and broadcast information is subject to change.
After a week 11 matchup against UTEP at 8 p.m. CT., Western Kentucky will return to home to host two new C-USA members in New Mexico State and Sam Houston State. The Hilltoppers will celebrate homecoming against the Aggies and will be celebrating senior day against the Bearkats. Both games kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT.
Western Kentucky will close out the regular season in a road matchup against Florida International on Nov. 25. The opening kick is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT.
