Ahoy, WKU fans!! Here is the latest and greatest news in the world of WKU football from the past week.
Doyle Competes In The Senior Bowl Today
"Mr. Reliable" Jack Doyle will participate in the Senior Bowl today at 3 pm (CST) on the NFL Network. He will be a part of the North squad and his jersey number will be #18. Multiple NFL teams have stopped by WKU practice throughout the year to check out Doyle's sure hands, crisp route running, and excellent blocking abilities.
Doyle finished his career as a Hilltopper with 162 grabs which ranks second in WKU history. He's led the team in receptions the last two seasons, capping off his senior season with 53 catches for 566 yards and five touchdowns. He will wear a WKU helmet one last time today before we see him play on Sundays this fall.
Scott Wilks Named Associate Strength and Conditioning Coach
Wilks was brought in from Marshall, which means he will reunite with head strength and conditioning coach Joe Miday. Wilks was at Marshall last season and spent the previous two seasons at Hofstra.
Wilks played college football for the Thundering Herd and lettered all four years he was there. He has all the certifications and leadership abilities to make players' get their maximum pumps in bench pressing, squats, and dead-lifts.
