WKU in pursuit of Berkeley Prep (Fla.) OL

Berkeley Prep (Fla.) offensive lineman Zach Perkins picked up an offer from the Hilltoppers back in January. In March, the 6-foot-6, 310-pound prospect made the trek up to Bowling Green for one of Western Kentucky's junior days and has remained one of the Hilltoppers' top targets even since.

The Tampa (Fla.) product talked WKU and his overall recruiting process with InsideHilltopperSports.com.

- On what he likes about Western Kentucky:

"I really like Coach (Mike) Goff. I think he is a great coach and I like what he has done with such a young offensive line. Also, academically, I like their sports management program and the ability to get my bachelor's degree in three years and pursue a master's. I feel that next year they will have a great season."

- On what Coach Goff likes about your abilities:

"He likes my ability to move people. He sees me as a guard that can possibly pop out to tackle. He says they need big guys to come in and compete right away and I can be one of those guys."

- On other schools involved recruiting you hard right now:

"I'm hearing a lot from Bowling Green, Tulane, South Alabama, and Troy."

- On summer visit plans:

"I will visit Troy. I've already visited the others and I'm trying to pick official visits."

- On if a return trip to WKU is a possibility:

"Absolutely, I will be up there June 16th."
