Western Kentucky University and the University of Wisconsin have agreed to a three-game series over football and men's basketball, beginning in 2017. The Badgers will come to E.A. Diddle Arena in 2018.

Men's basketball will play a home-and-home series, which sends the Hilltoppers to Madison, Wisconsin on Dec. 17, 2017, before WU plays in Bowling Green on Dec. 12, 2018.

It will be just the second time an active member of the Big Ten Conference has played in Diddle. Michigan visited back on Nov. 26, 1977 and defeated the Tops.

On the field, WKU football will play a single game in Madison to open the 2018 season on Sept. 1.

"This is an exciting series for our football and men's basketball programs," Director of Athletics Todd Stewart said. "We are actively attempting to improve our men's basketball non-conference home games and hosting one of college basketball's top programs will make Diddle Arena the place to be on December 12, 2018. Camp Randall Stadium is one of the nation's best and most historic football venues, and our trips to Madison for football and basketball games present unique opportunities for our fans to see us compete against an outstanding Big Ten program in a terrific environment."

Western is 0-1 all-time against the Badgers in both sports. Football played at Camp Randall in 2001 while basketball's only match-up with the Badgers came in 1989 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
